Portus Ojomo
…was born in 1952 in Nigeria. Painter, sculptor of monumental arts. Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium and at the Instituto Allende – Mexico. His training was based on the values of western (mainly European) history and tradition in art. A contemporary artist in diaspora who evolved and intermingled the African art tradition with the dominant western culture in the arts. The vibrant expression and strong contrasting colors gives Ojomo’s paintings their special re-nown.

Executed a wall relief of 21 m2 for refugee center in Antwerp.

Artist - participator behind “the Wall” for the historical exposition “UNCENSORED” at the Africa Museum in Tervuren, Brussels.
